When I had my third child I decided to try to do my workout regime from home through video class subscriptions. I didn’t think it was fair to run off to the gym in the morning leaving my husband to get 3 girls off to daycare 🙂 I found that these videos were challenging but I was never motivated to push myself. Who would know if I took another break?! After 2 years I decided I needed something different but didn’t know if I could find anything that would work with our crazy schedule. I was so lucky to find the Warehouse where I could get my workout done in the morning and still make it back before everyone woke up. I felt great. I felt more like myself again. It was something I was doing just for me. I was challenged every day and was surrounded by people that didn’t let me quit. When COVID hit I had a moment of panic. I was so happy that the team was going to offer zoom classes but I just remembered how unmotivated I was during the video classes I had done previously. My fears quickly disappeared after a few days. Having familiar faces coaching me, talking to me, seeing me, and seeing others made all the difference. Nothing will replace in person classes but I am so happy with how consistent I have been able to be with this aspect of my life and what I have been able to achieve while life in general has been so crazy and unpredictable. I might drink a little more wine than I used to hey, but life is all about balance and I’m happy I can balance things out with the Warehouse crew. |
