1. WHAT DID LIFE LOOK LIKE BEFORE YOU FOCUSED ON CONSISTENCY ON NUTRITION AND FITNESS?
Growing up I played softball and volleyball year round, so focusing on my health and fitness just came naturally. As I headed to college, I knew my nutrition and fitness was something that I needed to make a priority. I missed being a team player and staying active and I decided to try out group exercise classes. A few months in, they recruited me to become a Group Exercise Instructor and I absolutely LOVED it! I enjoyed being healthy and active, and helping others with that same goal. As college went on and I was working 3+ jobs, 40+ hours a week, along with classes, volunteering and a social life, and it was really challenging to make time to take care of me.
2. What made you decide to make a change?
Being a new teacher was downright exhausting. I was feeling burnt out from trying to keep my head above water in my career, and when I finally felt like I had it down, the pandemic hit and all things I felt I knew, meant nothing. I was working late hours in my classroom worrying about meeting the needs of all of my students and I could feel my own health start to decline. I was tired, anxious, stressed and I didn’t feel good about myself. I had always been a dedicated Warehouse member, but something needed to change. Through the help of the incredible Warehouse trainers and my holistic doctor, I committed to making myself a priority and taking care of me.
3. What has changed (attitude, energy, weight, habits, priorities, race times, blood work, confidence, etc.?)
Since making myself a priority, I have made so many positive gains. My energy is back and I am making sure I am getting enough sleep! I feel better about myself and feel like I have more good to put back into the world. I am so grateful for The Warehouse community!
