1. What did life look like before The Warehouse? What past experiences shaped your views on health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness?

The Warehouse came into my life at a time when I was feeling overwhelmed and unfulfilled. We were on the heels of welcoming our 3rd child (who was and is a pure delight and sunshine). I had adjusted my work schedule so I was more available for my family and present. Despite this, I felt like there was something missing. I had been active my whole life – from competitive gymnastics in my early years to softball, basketball and volleyball in high school. I even played club rugby for 2 years in college at Winona State. I enjoyed moving my body and being active. But I had lost A LOT of that after having children and expanding our family. Just like many other women, I had lost myself. I stopped making time for myself, pursuing those things that genuinely make me feel good and fulfilled. I remember the day that changed for me very clearly. It was April 2023, I was so tired of feeling tired, out of shape and unfulfilled. I googled on my phone – “Gyms near me” and happened to stumble upon The Warehouse. I signed up for a class that same day, walked into the class blindly, not knowing a single person, shook Nickie’s hand after I introduced myself and did my first Boot Camp class. I left feeling so welcomed, unable to move, and with a sense of fulfillment. I bought a “punchcard” for classes but burned through those in 2 weeks and knew The Warehouse was it.

2. What has your experience been like since being part of The Warehouse? What have you learned? What has helped you grow or evolve?

I joined The Warehouse because I knew I wanted to move my body and feel better about myself. What I didn’t know was that I was also going to gain the energy, community and support from everyone. I walk out of every class feeling energized, relaxed and with a smile. I didn’t know I needed that.
I work as a Physical Therapist – every day I’m committed to helping my patients move better, feel better and regain their confidence in their mobility. It has always been so much easier to take care of others and same with caring for my family. Now I am seeing, feeling and believing how good I can feel when I take care of myself so that I can give that back to my family and patients.

3. What has changed for you (attitude, energy, habits, priorities, race times, blood work, confidence, etc.)?

Everything has changed for me. I have a place I can go to be me and recharge. I feel stronger, more energized and genuinely fulfilled. What a blessing! My children are also seeing this – they often join in on my Zoom classes (you may see them in the background or taking over the screen!), see me taking time for myself to strengthen myself (inside and out). They keep me consistent too with their daily “Mom, are you going to exercise today?” 🙂

4. What is your favorite Warehouse workout song?

I can’t name a single workout song – if it has a good beat, it is an immediate energy booster for me!

5. What is your favorite workout class?

My favorite workout class is Boot Camp with Heated Yoga close behind. They both dial into different areas of my wellbeing that I didn’t know I needed.

6. What is your favorite quote?

“A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t go anywhere until you change it.”
