1. What did life look like before The Warehouse? What past experiences shaped your views on health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness?

I actually started at the Warehouse almost 10 years ago now (at the first location, shortly after moving to Rosemount) and there were so many things I loved about it. The welcoming staff, energetic atmosphere, and inclusivity made it feel like as soon as you walked through that door, you were part of the Warehouse family. I hadn’t felt that at other classes or studios before. And as much as I love the peaceful solitude of going for jogs on my own, it wasn’t giving me the variety my body was craving or the sense of community my soul loves! I will admit that I did take a hiatus from the Warehouse for a few years. I have no excuse other than pinching pennies but I was so happy to return and this time make an ongoing commitment to a monthly membership, which may seem like a no brainer to some but for someone who has been skeptical of my own motivation for follow through and consistency, this was a big deal!

2. What has your experience been like since being part of The Warehouse? What have you learned? What has helped you grow or evolve?

I should also mention that I am a Dietitian. Food and nutrition has always been a passion of mine and fitness has always been something that goes along with those. I currently work with eating disorders and am so thankful that places like the Warehouse exists. I really appreciate the emphasis on customizing workouts and moving for functionality, strength, endurance, and having fun! I also love all of the fun challenges and activities the Warehouse does to keep members engaged! Can’t wait for the next Power of 50!

3. What has changed for you (attitude, energy, habits, priorities, race times, blood work, confidence, etc.)?

I approach fitness now with an ever-existing opportunity for growth. I love doing races and like to get competitive with myself with times but would consider myself more of a casual runner. I think at this point in my life, the most important thing for me with fitness is challenging myself, keeping my body strong, and having fun!

4. What is your favorite Warehouse workout song?

There are so many fun songs that have been used at the Warehouse, it’s hard to pick one! So I won’t! A few of my favorites have been: “No Diggity” for the side to side ankle resistance band routine. A Pitbull routine that Nickie put together (probably a year ago) and any 90’s song that make an appearance.

5. What is your favorite workout class?

My favorite workout class is Boot camp! I love how it has such a great variety with strength and cardio and challenges me while still providing lots of options to adapt exercises and tailor the class and make the workout my own.
