1. What did life look like before you focused consistently on nutrition and fitness?

I was a newer mom of 2 small kids, working a full time job as a pediatric clinical pharmacist with a very non traditional schedule with a husband who worked overnights at a hospital and I lost my WHY! I have always been an active person, athlete and a member of a team and fitness has always brought me joy, positivity and strength physically and mentally and trying to juggle all my hats at the time I had so many excuses for no time to accomplish them. I started joining group fitness classes at a gym and started to make that more a priority in my life along with a group of friends to hold me accountable and just made fitness and nutrition more fun for me!

2. What made you decide to make a change?

I was pregnant with my 3rd kiddo and knew that I needed a consistent plan to juggle all my hats but still make me a priority in order to be successful. I truly believed that I needed to fill my cup so that I can continue to serve and help others in my day to day life. Having a dedicated plan for me to prioritize my health and wellness for ME is my WHY and my kryptonite to show and provide joy to my family, friends, patients, etc (my other WHY). And figuring this out made it a no brainer to find ways to accomplish my WHY on a DAILY basis!

3. What has changed (attitude, energy, weight, habits, priorities, race times, blood work, confidence, etc.?)

Group fitness and dedicated at home workouts have been the staple of my ME plan for the last 4 years. I have had great success in my fitness but my kids got older and busier and with my non traditional work schedule I had to find a way to still fill my cup and I had to become the dreaded “early bird”. I never thought I would be that person that got up at 5am to workout, thought they were insane! But it is EXACTLY what I needed! Que the Warehouse being brought to my attention by my amazing friends and the 5:15am class and BAM I was hooked and with changing schedules with my family still made my at home workouts work at 5am before work. I am happier human in all facets of my life and able to continue to be present for my family, friends and career! I truly believe in centering myself on my WHY to continue to motivate me and that I deserve the time (it’s not selfish!) and doing it with my friends who are always lifting me up higher is such an added bonus! This way of life was the anchor of how I made it through this past year with all of life’s twists staying focused on my WHY and surrounding myself with people who have common goals!! Keeps me sane and able to continue to give!

Share the following below:

1. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAREHOUSE WORKOUT SONG?

Nothing that Paul Thiesen plays (jk you know I love Jess or your kids playlists!) but seriously love “No Diggity”!

2. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT CLASS?

Boxing has been my favorite format for years but never did it with bags until the Warehouse so got to say Boxing Fusion, but I LOVE HIIT and burpees so anything that incorporates that

3. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?

“We CAN DO HARD things” or “if it was easy everyone would do it” And just a thank you to all the trainers and members of the Warehouse, each of you inspire me to push harder and your smiles (even with your eyes under the masks or on the screen via zoom) fuels my day and makes it brighter!! It’s so amazing to be part of such a supportive community! Takes a village!
