1. What did life look like before The Warehouse? What past experiences shaped your views on health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness?
I found my love for Oula in 2017. Lori and Sandy were amazing instructors and I loved their classes. In 2019 I became an Oula instructor because I loved it so much. Then 2020 hit. It was a struggle for everyone. My outlet was gone. I’m a nurse at Regions’s Hospital and I needed my safe space to be able to yell, cry, feel joy, everything that we all needed in 2020. Lori was amazing! She recorded classes from her garage and tried all sorts of things to keep us safe but together. We then started distance exercising outside. We were together. It’s because of all of these things and Lori’s great instructing that I couldn’t stay away and started at the Warehouse.
2. What has your experience been like since being part of The Warehouse? What have you learned? What has helped you grow or evolve? |
---|
I feel so much joy at the Warehouse. I love Oula but I really like Pound, Power, AAA and boot camp. I know I can do cardio but pushing myself with all of the strength classes has been fun!
3. What has changed for you (attitude, energy, habits, priorities, race times, blood work, confidence, etc.)?
I have started taking more time to use weights and feel my strength. I had shoulder surgery years ago and I wasn’t able to do even 1 push up but now I can! I feel stronger.
4. What is your favorite Warehouse workout song?
I love Think About Us, an Oula song. The moves are awesome as well as the powerful words. I also love Good Times in Pound. I love the fast stick slapping fun. I love the “football” song in Power too! My arms burn after that song!
5. Anything else you would like to share about your Experience at The Warehouse?
I also love the assisted stretch. That is one of my absolute favorite things! My body feels so much relief afterwards, it’s incredible! I can’t wait for my next session!
